Tango is recognized by UNESCO CID is happy to announce that Tango has been declared part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It was formally described as a musical genre that includes dance, music, poetry and singing, and is considered one of the main manifestations of identity for the inhabitants of the Rio de la Plata region, that is Uruguay and Argentina. Ask CID for the list of national dances recognized by UNESCO. 05.
